These basic oatmeal biscuits are so simple, just flour, oats, butter and bicarb soda, all mixed with a bit of boiling water. These are not sweet.

    • 1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
    • 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
    • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
    • boiling water to mix

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
    2. Mix together flour and bicarb soda. Stir oats and butter. Stir in enough boiling water to make a biscuit dough. Place tablespoons of dough on the prepared baking tray and bake in preheated oven until crisp and golden, about 12-15 minutes. Allow to cool before eating.
