These basic oatmeal biscuits are so simple, just flour, oats, butter and bicarb soda, all mixed with a bit of boiling water. These are not sweet.

1/2 (60g) cup plain flour
1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
1 cup (90g) rolled oats
1 tablespoon butter, softened
boiling water to mix
Directions Preparation:10min › Extra time:15min cooling › Ready in:25min
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Mix together flour and bicarb soda. Stir oats and butter. Stir in enough boiling water to make a biscuit dough. Place tablespoons of dough on the prepared baking tray and bake in preheated oven until crisp and golden, about 12-15 minutes. Allow to cool before eating.
