These basic oatmeal biscuits are so simple, just flour, oats, butter and bicarb soda, all mixed with a bit of boiling water. These are not sweet.

The Walters

Serves: 4 

  • 1/2 (60g) cup plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
  • 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • boiling water to mix

Preparation:10min  ›  Extra time:15min cooling  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Mix together flour and bicarb soda. Stir oats and butter. Stir in enough boiling water to make a biscuit dough. Place tablespoons of dough on the prepared baking tray and bake in preheated oven until crisp and golden, about 12-15 minutes. Allow to cool before eating.
