This easy split pea and barley soup is ready in less than an hour. So easy and so delicious. Seasoned with onion, celery, stock and turmeric.

Serves: 4 

  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 small onion, diced
  • 1 stick celery, diced
  • 60g dry green split peas
  • 60g dry yellow split peas
  • 60g barley
  • 2 vegetable stock cubes
  • turmeric, to taste

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:45min  ›  Ready in:50min 

  1. Is saucepan bring water to a boil. Add onion, celery, split peas and barley. Cover and boil for 30 minutes.
  2. Stir in stock cubes and turmeric to taste then simmer an additional 15 minutes.
