Super Easy Salsa

    About as basic and easy as salsa can get but still perfectly delicious! Perfect with corn chips for a last-minute party finger food.

    Serves: 12 

    • 1/2 bunch fresh chives
    • 1/2 bunch fresh coriander
    • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    • 2 400g cans chopped tomatoes
    • 2 green chillies, seeds removed and chopped
    • juice of 1 lime
    • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

    1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and process to desired consistency.

    Used different ingredients. Always hunting for the best tasting salsa and never finding it, I decided to try making it myself. My hunt is over!! This is hands down the best salsa I've tasted. I modified it a bit, I used 3 cloves garlic, one tin of tomatoes and chopped 4 plum tomatoes, 1 red chilli and 1 green. Next time I'll just do 2 reds as I could have had it a bit hotter, this was about medium heat. But otherwise, this is perfect salsa!  -  08 Oct 2008


    Something else. Amazing!!! I finally have a recipe to make authentic salsa. I tried so many recipes, but no luck until this one. I used tinned whole peeled tomatoes, and I drained most of juice. I pulsed the ingredients in the food processor for a thick slightly chunky consistency. Pretty hot, use less chilli for a milder salsa. This recipe is PERFECT!!!  -  08 Oct 2008
