These are very simple cupcakes to make which have crushed chocolate biscuits baked right into them. After icing them sprinkle with more biscuit crumbs.


Makes: 18 cupcakes

  • 200g butter, softened
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 300g self raising flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate biscuits, crushed

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:35min 

  1. Heat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease or line a muffin tin.
  2. Mix together butter, sugar, vanilla and milk. Stir in flour and beat until smooth. Fold in the chocolate biscuit crumbs.
  3. Spoon mixture into muffin cups and bake until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean, about 20 minutes. Allow to cool on a rack before icing.
