Basic Poached Eggs

    Quick and easy poached eggs are a kiwi mainstay. Gotta have poached eggs on toast. Just pop an egg in a bit of boiling water then simmer till done.

    Serves: 2 

    • 4 eggs
    • water
    • salt, to taste

    Preparation:2min  ›  Cook:2min  ›  Ready in:4min 

    1. Bring water to a simmer in a frying pan then add a pinch of salt. Crack egg into a small dish then quickly pour it into the water. Let cook for about 2 minutes or until done. Serve on toast.

    i have not tried this recipe but have looked into it. the only reason i did not use it is because i know that you should most definitely add vinegar. but otherwise it should be fine.  -  13 Nov 2016
