Indian Scotch Eggs

    This is an Indian dish called Qeema. It's traditionally made with lamb but you can use any kind of mince you prefer. It's quite similar to Scotch eggs.

    Serves: 4 

    • 500g lamb mince
    • 2 tablespoons chickpea flour
    • 1 medium onion, finely diced
    • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
    • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
    • 1 teaspoon fresh green chilli, minced
    • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
    • 2 teaspoons garam masala
    • salt to taste
    • 1 egg
    • 4 hard-boiled eggs
    • oil for frying

    1. In a bowl combine all ingredients except the hard-boiled eggs, then wrap the mixture around the hard-boiled eggs.
    2. Heat the frying oil in a deep frypan and cook the wrapped eggs until evenly brown. Slice in half and serve with chutney.
