Pita Chips

Pita Chips

2 people made this

This is a good entertaining pass around and can keep for days in an air tight container.

Makes: 10 Depending on how many people are coming around

  • between 5 to 10 packets of pita bread (it can either be wholemeal or plain)
  • 3 tablespoons oil (you can add more in the little dish)
  • sprinkle of dried herbs (can mix and match or just have one flavour)
  • sprinkle of sea salt (depending if you're just making salty flavours)
  • sprinkle of sesame seeds and poppy seed etc

Preparation:30min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:40min

  1. Cut the pita breads into quarters then cut them like you would cut a pizza. Then brush little bit with the oil and then sprinkle with your flavours.
  2. Pre heat the oven to fan bake 160 degrees C and line the baking trays with baking paper.
  3. Then place them in the oven for ten minutes. Note: you will have to bake them in batches. Then put the pita breads on an wired rack to let them cool down then either put them on an air tight container or serve them right away with dips and any antipasto platters.
