This simple crumbed fish fillet is only seasoned with salt and pepper so it will taste great with your favourite sauce.
4 tarakihi fillets
1 1/2 cups of panko breadcrumbs
1 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
- Wash the fish fillets then dry. Salt and pepper the fillets then crumb with the panko.
- Heat the butter over medium high then add oil (this keeps the butter from burning).
- Fry the fillets for 2 minutes a side (or until cooked though).
Tarakihi is a fish local to New Zealand. If you can not find tarakihi, you can use hoki or any local white fish.
