Fried Tarakihi with Lemon Sauce

Pan fried in butter and served with a lemon sauces with capers and chives. This white fish is a common New Zealand dish.

Ingredients
Serves: 4 

  • 4 tarakihi fillets
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons capers, diced
  • 1 tablespoon chives
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • butter, for frying

Directions
Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. Salt and pepper the tarakihi fillets then fry in butter until cooked (about 3-4 minutes a side).
  2. In the frying pan, whisk together oil, lemon juice, zest, capers and chives then heat. Pour over the fish fillets.
