Easy and perfect pavlova every time - guaranteed!!!

Serves: 6 

  • 4 egg whites
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons boiling water

Preparation:30min  ›  Cook:1hour  ›  Ready in:1hour30min 

  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Heat oven to 165 degrees celsius.
  3. Put mixture on baking paper on tray. Mixture can be halved to make 2 layer pavlova.
  4. Place in heated oven and then turn oven off immediately.
  5. Leave in oven for 60 minutes. Do not open oven door.
  6. Decorate as desired once cooled.

I doubted this, how can you cook a pav in the oven which has been switched off. And on top of that throw everything in together not spoon by spoon. Only thing I did different was put in 1 tbs cornflour and left it in the oven while I went out, all up it was in the oven for 3 hours... It worked!!! :-) - 13 May 2014
