Easy Lamb/Beef Casserole

    This is a quick and easy casserole, with ingredients you have laying around the house, it's inexpensive and delicious!!

    Serves: 4 

    • 600g cubed lamb or beef
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • 1 tblsp oil
    • 1 large onion sliced
    • 2 medium carrots sliced
    • 3 medium potatoes cubed
    • 2 rashes bacon sliced
    • 1 tblsp minced garlic
    • 1x 420g tinned tomato soup
    • 2 cups water
    • 5 tblsp gravy mix
    • salt and pepper to season

    1. Heat oil in a fry pan, coat beef/lamb in the flour, brown slightly and remove from pan into a soup pot.
    2. In frying pan brown off the onions, carrots, potatoes and bacon. add the browned bacon and vegetables to the meat in the soup pot.
    3. To the meat and vegetables add soup, water, garlic and gravy, stir well.
    4. Bring to the boil and then leave to simmer for 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until meat is tender, adding salt and pepper to season.


    This is best served with mashed potato or rice.

    The recipe is great and my son and i both enjoyed it..However i do not use the flour, bacon, and tomatoes because i follow the cook right for your blood type diet i dont eat wheat and tomato.. It it still came out yummy..  -  19 Feb 2016
