Tasty Cheese Straws

    These cheese straws are a great finger food for a party or an after school snack.

    Serves: 6 

    • 75g flour
    • 50g butter
    • 75g cheese, grated
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • milk, to bind

    Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Sift flour, rub in butter and add cheese, baking soda, salt and pepper.
    2. Mix into a stiff paste with milk.
    3. Roll out to 3mm thick. Cut into long narrow pieces. Bake on baking tray at 215 degrees C for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
