After having always made the Edmond's recipe and never had a failure I was surprised how different these biscuits are... the chemical reaction didnt happen the way it should have, despite warming the milk, and I ended up with a crumbly mixture even though I weighed and measured accurately. The resulting biscuits are pale, too delicate and nothing like the photo provided. I will stick to the conventional method of making the hokey pokey on a stove top from now on to get that rich dark colour and flavour. - 03 May 2014
