This is an all-time favorite food at home...easy to prepare and is always something that kids look forward to in their lunch boxes. One good thing about pizzas is that one can decide what to place as toppings and anything just goes!
A.)For the crust
In a mug dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water. Set aside.
Place flour in a steel bowl. Add the egg, salt and sugar.
Slowly pour the yeast mixture until the dough is just perfect for molding. Mix thoroughly (manually or by a hand mixer). Set aside preferably near a low flame and covered with a wet cloth.
Re-mix after 20-30 minutes and flatten into a round or square crust using a rolling pin. (Depends on you. You can have it heart-shaped on Valentine’s Day. Hehehe!)
Place in a steel baking pan or tray. (I use my cooking pots covers!...The flat ones!)
Brush (using your index and middle fingers) the crust’s surface with mayonnaise and ketchup. Set aside.
B.)For the toppings
If you choose chicken, boil it in 2 cups of water with a small amount of salt and garlic paste. After 10 minutes, remove from the fire and let it cool. Flake the chicken and set aside. If you choose ground beef there is no need for an extra preparation just wash a bit and strain it.
In a pan, sauté the onions, garlic and ginger. Add salt, rosemary, paprika, parsley, oregano, cinnamon and black/white pepper powder.
Put in the chicken flakes or ground beef. Add soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Mix till golden brown. Let it cool.
Sprinkle the crust with the cooked chicken or beef.
Add the sliced hotdogs, tomatoes, capsicums, button mushrooms, pineapples, etc. Top with onion rings and grated cheese.
There you are. Your pizza is ready to go into the electric oven.
Preheat oven for 5 minutes at 180-200 ºC.) A plate of pizza needs about 15-20 minutes baking time only. Do not over bake.
To give an even hotter taste into it, splatter with Tabasco hot sauce when it’s done.
