Traditional dish from the Philippines. Chicken and Pork is cooked in garlic, vinegar and soy sauce and served with plain cooked rice. Very tasty!

Serves: 4 

  • 500g Small chicken wings and/or Drumsticks
  • 500g Pork rashers (pork with bone and rind is best)
  • 1 Whole garlic, crushed or chopped
  • 1/2 Cup White vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Soy sauce
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 Cup Water
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:2hours  ›  Extra time:30min marinating  ›  Ready in:2hours45min 

  1. Marinate Chicken and Pork in Vinegar,Soy Sauce, Garlic and salt and pepper for 30mins.
  2. Add marintated ingredients to a heavy saucepan and boil for 10 minutes uncovered.
  3. Add Bay Leaves and water to saucepan, bring back to boil, then simmer uncovered until the sauce has thickened or is almost dry.
  4. Best served with plain cooked rice.


You can alter the amounts of the meat or just use the chicken by itself.
