    Chilli is always a great option for feeding a crowd and the slow cooker makes it super simple. Turkey mince is used as a lighter alternative to the usual beef.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 8 

    • 250g turkey mince
    • 2 (400g) tins red kidney beans, drained
    • 2 (400g) tins whole peeled tomatoes
    • 1 sachet chilli con carne seasoning mix
    • 125g jalapeños from a jar
    • 1/3rd (700g) jar passata (tomato) sauce
    • 1 onion, peeled and diced
    • 1 cup (250ml) water

    Directions
    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:3hours  ›  Ready in:3hours10min 

    1. In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients. Cook on low 3 to 4 hours. Serve hot.

    Something else. I made this on football sunday for my in-laws. They loved it! I used ground turkey and browned it before adding to the other ingredients in the slow cooker. With an hour left I added 1/4 cup of water mixed with 2 tablespoons of flour to thicken the mixture up a little. It was perfect on a cool afternoon! Thanks! - 29 Sep 2008
