Caramel Chocolate Slice

    Makes: 22 pieces

    • Caramel Sauce
    • 25gm butter
    • 3 tablespoons golden syrup
    • 395gm can condensed milk
    • Base
    • 300gm butter, softened
    • 3/4 cup flour icing sugar
    • 3 cups flour
    • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. To make the sauce, place all the ingredients in a saucepan and stir over medium heat until butter is melted.
    3. To make the base, beat softened butter and icing sugar, until smooth, then sift in the flour and mix well.
    4. Put 2/3 of the mixture in tin and press down, pour over the caramel suace, then spinkle the remaning mixture and the chocoalte chips.
    5. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.


    Store it in the fridge.
