easy white loaf bread machine recipe that is very light - not heavy and dense like the usual bread machine white loaf. Great for toast or sandwiches.

Makes: 1 loaf

  • 200ml warm water (approx 45C degrees)
  • 1 Tbsp Soft brown sugar
  • 1.5 tsp Bread Machine yeast (the kind that includes bread improvers)
  • 1 Tbsp Canola Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Skim Milk powder
  • 315g High Grade / Bread Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:4hours  ›  Ready in:4hours10min 

  1. Place warm water, sugar and yeast into breadmaker pan and let sit for approx 10 minutes. (letting the yeast sit in the warm water gives it that extra rising boost resulting in a lighter loaf)
  2. Add remaining ingredients in order listed above (or order specified by bread machine)
  3. Select med loaf and crust of choice then start.
  4. Once cooked remove from pan and let cool on wire rack.
