Country Beef Stir-Fry

It is really nice on a cold winters day.

Serves: 4 

  • 500g Lean beef strips (Rump or Round Steak)
  • 2 tsp olive or sunflower oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 medium carrots, very thinly sliced
  • 2 mediumsticks celery, very thinly sliced crossways
  • 100g button mushrooms
  • 1 cup or 310g can corn niblets
  • 1 cup frozen french beans
  • 410g can salt reduced tomatos
  • 1-2 tbsp gravy powder
  • feashly cracked pepper, to taste

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:20min 

  1. Brown small quantities of beef strips in hot oil in wok for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add onion, carrots, cellery and botton mushrooms. Stir-fry 2 minutes.
  3. Add corn, beans, tomatoes and gravy powder mixed with a little liquid from the tomatoes and all the remaining juice. Allow to heat through and thicken, about 5 minutes. Season to taste

Serving suggestion

Serve with boiled or mashed potatos.
