Shell's Bratwurst & Potato Medley

A fast, delicious & easy potato + sausage one pan meal that can be seved with greens on the side if not planning on using alot of vege's, or a nice crusty bread if you are. Use whatever veges are on hand. :)

Serves: 2 

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 medium red potatoes, cut into small cubes
  • 2 fully cooked bratwurst sausages, cut into 2cm slices
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup green capsicum, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash pepper

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. In a heavy frypan, heat oil over a medium-high heat. Add the potatoes, cover until browned and crisp-tender, around 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add bratwurst, capsicum and onion. Cook and stir for 5 minutes or until meat is heated through and vegetables are crisp-tender.
  3. Combine the soy sauce, orange juice, basil, salt and pepper and add to the frypan. Cook and stir 1-2 minutes longer or until everything is evenly coated.


Replace green pepper for any vegetable on hand. More or less vege's can be added, just double quantities for sauce.
