    A very rich self saucing chocolate pudding, lovely served with whipped cream or ice cream.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 100g Dark or Milk Chocolate, chopped
    • 50g Butter, chopped
    • 1/2 Cup Milk
    • 3/4 Cup Self-raising flour
    • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
    • 1/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
    • 1 1/2 Cups Boiling water

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven 180°C
    2. Combine the chocolate, butter and milk in a medium heatproof bowl and microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until smooth.
    3. Combine flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar and half of the cocoa powder in a medium bowl.
    4. Stir in chocolate mixture, then pour mixture into a 6 cup capacity heatproof bowl or dish.
    5. Combine the remaining brown sugar and the remaining cocoa in a small bowl and sprinkle over pudding mixture.
    6. Carefully pour the water (over the back of a spoon) over the topping.
    7. Place in preheated oven, uncovered for 35 minutes
    8. Serve pudding dusted with icing sugar, and topped with whipped cream or ice cream

    Tip

    You can use either dark or milk chocolate for this recipe, they both work equally well

    Very nice. I mistakenly added all of the sugar and cocoa in the actual cake mix, but it turned out great. I just added a tablespoon of sugar and cocoa for the sauce to make up for my mistake. I also cooked it in my microwave for 15min on a microwave/convention setting. Lovely and rich and very easy! - 24 Feb 2013
