Most margaritas are made with lemon or lime juice but I prefer the fruitiness of grapefruit. Delicious with a salt rim.
1 1/2 cups (375ml) grapefruit juice
1 1/2 cups (375ml) tequila
3/4 cup (185ml) cointreau
1 lime, cut into 8 wedges
- Combine the grapefruit juice, tequila and cointreau in a jug. Stir to mix.
- To serve, rub the rim of a margarita glass with lime and dip in salt. Fill the glass with ice and top with the tequila mixture. Garnish with a slice of lime.
This is very refreshing and packs a punch. We all preferred it without the salt rim.
