Iced Vietnamese Coffee

Iced Vietnamese Coffee

1 person made this

Anyone who has been to Vietnam will be familiar with the coffee process that sometimes seems to take longer to make than to drink. Here is my home ceremony, or you can just make it and give it to your friends.

homeboy Tasmania, Australia

Makes: 4 iced coffees

  • 1/2 cup ground Vietnamese coffee beans (dark if you have a choice)
  • 4 cups of water
  • ice cubes
  • about 1/2 a tin of sweetened condensed milk

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min

  1. Brew coffee with water using your preferred method to make brewed coffee. It can be a bit strong as it will be diluted by the melting ice cubes.
  2. Set the table for each friend with a coffee cup and tall glass with 3 or 4 icecubes.
  3. Pour about a shots worth of sweetened condensed milk into 4 coffee cups.
  4. Pour the fresh hot coffee into each cup and get your friends to stir so the milk blends into the coffee.
  5. Get each friend to pour their coffee into their glass with the ice. When chilled enjoy the best iced coffee around.

I was gifted a Vietnamese coffee maker and some coffee. This was very nice to share with that friend. Good one, homeboy, Thanks! - 21 Feb 2016
