Chinese Cabbage Salad


    Crunchy noodle and Chinese/wombok cabbage salad that is easy to make and really tasty. This is my favourite salad recipe for barbecues.

    Serves: 10 

    • 1 Chinese cabbage/ wombok
    • 3 celery sticks
    • 4 shallots
    • 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts
    • 1 packet Chang's crunchy noodles
    • 1/2 cup olive oil
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup white vinegar
    • 2 teaspoon soy sauce

    1. Slice cabbage, celery and shallots finely.
    2. Toast pine nuts under grill until lightly brown, if not already toasted.
    3. Add pine nuts and crunchy noodles to salad.
    4. Mix oil, brown sugar, vinegar and soy sauce. Then add to salad just prior to serving.


    If made ahead of time, keep noodles and dressing separate until ready to serve.
