if the melted cocoa butter rises to the top, just mix it in again. If the chocolate does not dissolve into the milk, heat slightly more.
That IS sadistic! The name doesn't lie. The more you drink, the more you want. I followed the amounts of chili and cayenne and thought it was fantastic, albeit very spicy. Chocolate and spice just go so nicely together. I didn't have a piece of hard toffee so I caramelised some sugar first then followed the instructions. Make sure your milk is warm before adding it to the chocolate to keep it from disrupting the temperature. Definitely a keeper, not your average hot chocolate. Thank you for the recipe. - 29 Sep 2015
Altered ingredient amounts. Don't use too much chilli, maybe about a pinch is good enough for most people, I tend to like it hot. - 09 Apr 2011
