Chocolate Mug Cake

    This cake is a lot to eat for one person so I like to cut it in half and some times half again.

    Serves: 1 

    • 2 large wide mugs
    • 4 tablespoons flour
    • 4 tablespoons cocoa
    • 1 egg
    • 3 tablespoons milk
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
    • small splash vinilla extract

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:2min  ›  Ready in:7min 

    1. Add dry ingredients to one mug and mix well.
    2. In a separate mug, beat the egg, pour in the milk, oil and mix well.
    3. Add the wet ingredients and stir into the powdered ingredients add chocolate chips (if using), vanilla extract and mix well.
    4. Put the cake (mug) in the microwave for 2 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake may rise to the top of the mug.
    5. Allow to cool a little before eating or tip out onto a plate if desired.

    I think sugar must be missing from the ingredients by mistake. Other mug cake recipes I've seen have 4tbsp Flour, 2tbsp Cocoa and 2tbsp Sugar.  -  10 May 2012

    the first time i made it i cooked for three minutes and it seemed really dry so i have adjusted the time to 2 minutes but if you think it is not cooked enough you can cook it for 2-3 minutes.  -  19 Mar 2011
