Too hot to run the oven? Try the dishwasher instead. Fresh salmon topped with dill and lemon juice is sealed in a water tight parcel then cooked in the dishwasher.

    Serves: 4

    • 570g fillet salmon
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
    • handful chopped fresh dill, or to taste
    • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:40min  ›  Ready in:50min

    1. Tear off 4 sheets of aluminium foil large enough to wrap the fillet (or wrap individually if using 4 separate fillets). Grease one side of each piece of foil.
    2. Drizzle a little olive oil on top of the salmon and sprinkle with salt, pepper, dill and lemon juice.
    3. Wrap and carefully seal foil parcel. Test parcel by pressing on it. If air escapes, re-wrap it. Put on the top shelf of the dishwasher and run for a full cycle, with heated drying. Salmon will be done when the dishwasher runs the full cycle.

My mum has this recipe in her recipe box. She told me that she has made it before and enjoyed it. So, everyone who is writing these reviews: If you have not tried a recipe, why even bother to review it? You don't need to be rude about it either. Why would anyone even try this? - 29 Sep 2008

This recipe is great! Of course it's sanitary! It's run at very high temperatures. If you wrap the salmon in a several layers very tightly you can even run dirty dishes with it! - 29 Sep 2008
