    These delicious alternatives to rum balls are an age old family recipe handed down from my nanna. Fabulous as an all occasion treat as they are not as intense as rum balls.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 30 depending on size

    • 1 packet arrowroot biscuits
    • 1 cup desiccated coconut
    • 3 tablespoons of cocoa
    • 1/2 cup almond or hazelnut meal
    • 400g tin sweetened condensed milk
    • 4 caps dry sherry (hence the name Snuffy)

    1. Crush arrowroot biscuits by either rolling pin or food processor. Add 1/2 cup of coconut and 3 tblsp cocoa and hazelnut meal. Stir, mix well.
    2. Add condensed milk and sherry. Stir and mix well.
    3. Using your hand pick up approx. one teaspoon and roll into a ball. Roll in the remainder of coconut. Place on a tray and set in the fridge.
    4. Keep refrigerated for up to 1-2 weeks.
