    This is a barbecue sauce I have used for years, and it's great on any kind of meat. Be careful though, this one's spicy.

    Serves: 48 

    • 1 1/2 cups (375ml) cider vinegar
    • 10 tablespoons tomato sauce
    • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
    • 1 pinch chilli flakes
    • 1 tablespoon white sugar
    • 1/2 cup (125ml) water
    • salt and black pepper to taste

    1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir together the vinegar, tomato sauce, cayenne pepper, chilli flakes, sugar and water.
    2. Simmer for 15 minutes or until all the sugar dissolves. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool. Use to baste your favourite meat while barbecuing.
