Fried Pork Chops with Apple

    30 minutes

I love this recipe - pork chops with their natural compliment, apples, served with an Asian-style sauce.

    Serves: 4

    • 4 pork chops
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 teaspoon dark brown soft sugar
    • 3 apples - peeled, cored and sliced

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min

    1. Heat a large frying pan to medium high heat. Add pork chops and a little water; heat until simmering. Sprinkle with garlic, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce. Heat and let all simmer until underside of chops are browned (about 5 to 7 minutes); turn chops over. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cook until other side is browned (about 5 to 7 minutes).
    2. Remove chops from frying pan and set aside. Add apples to frying pan and cook in leftover liquids until they are soft and tender. Pour apples and juices over chops and serve.

my husband buys a lot of pork chops so I am always looking for new recipes--these were tangy, tasty and tender--especially like adding apples since we always have them in the house---I served with rice and sauteed green beans  -  08 Oct 2008
