This is a great recipe to prepare for a party or barbecue. It needs to chill for a couple of hours for best results.


Serves: 7 

  • 500g three colour spiral pasta
  • 4 spring onions, chopped
  • 1 green capsicum, chopped
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2/3 cup (80g) white sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup tomato pasta sauce
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  1. In a large pot of salted boiling water cook pasta until al dente, rinse under cold water and drain.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pasta, onions, capsicum and celery.
  3. In a glass jar, combine the sugar, oil, tomato pasta sauce, vinegar, salt, paprika and pepper. Shake well to mix. Pour dressing over salad, toss to coat evenly. Chill for two hours.
