Cheesy garlic potatoes

    This is yummy and creamy mashed potato with cheese and garlic.

    Serves: 4 

    • 5 medium potatoes
    • 2 cloves of garlic
    • 200g cheddar cheese
    • 50g butter or margarine
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Peel and roughly chop potatoes. Boil until soft, about 20 mins, drain the water and set aside.
    2. Grate the cheese and mince the garlic and add to cheese. Add the cheese/garlic mix to potatoes with the butter. season with salt and pepper to taste
    3. Mash until creamy and serve!

    We really enjoyed these potatoes. I melted the butter and cooked the finely minced garlic gently in the butter for a few minutes before adding it to the potatoes. I did have to add a splash of milk as well. Very nice to serve for a special dinner.  -  15 May 2013
