Coconut Peanut Butter Bars

    These bars have it all: peanuts, coconut, chocolate! They are very easy to make and so very addictive!

    Serves: 20 

    • 4 cups puffed rice and wheat cereal
    • 1 cup grated coconut
    • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
    • 1 cup peanuts
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 1 cup white golden syrup
    • 3 cups dark chocolate chips

    1. Combine cereal and coconut in a medium size bowl.
    2. Combine peanut butter and peanuts in a large mixing bowl.
    3. Heat the sugar and golden syrup over a medium heat and stir constantly until the sugar is dissolved. Pour this mixture into the bowl with the peanut butter; mix well.
    4. Pour cereal mixture into the liquid mixture; mix well. Press the mixture into an ungreased 20x30cm pan.
    5. Melt the chocolate chips over a medium-low heat; mix well. Spread the mixture over the pan of cereal mixture. Let cool before cutting into bars.
