Easy Beef and Macaroni

A very quick and easy (and kid-friendly) combination of beef mince, macaroni and tinned tomatoes. Delicious!


Serves: 8 

  • 500g macaroni
  • 500g lean beef mince
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cups tomato pasta sauce
  • 250g mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (400g) tin chopped tomatoes

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and place in large saucepan.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large frypan, brown beef over medium heat; just before beef is browned, stir in onion.
  3. Add beef mixture to pasta, and stir in tomato sauce, mushrooms, garlic, salt, pepper and tomatoes. Cook over low heat, 10 to 15 minutes, or until heated through.
