    15 minutes

A simple, sweet glaze for cooked ham - pineapples and brown sugar. The cherries are optional but I suppose traditional!

    Serves: 14

    • 1 tin sliced pineapple, drained with juice reserved
    • 110g glace cherries, drained
    • 250g brown sugar

    1. Before baking ham, place pineapple slices on ham with wooden toothpicks and place cherries in centre of the pineapple slices.
    2. In a medium microwave safe bowl combine brown sugar and reserved pineapple juice. Mix together and microwave for about 5 minutes, until mixture is thick. Pour some of this glaze over the ham about every 15 minutes in the last hour of baking, until all is used.

This is an excellent glaze, I have used it for years. The only differences is that I add a little mustard to the glaze.  -  18 Dec 2002  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

This is a wonderful recipe for ham. I did add some ground cloves and dijon mustard to the pineapple juice mixture and it gave the ham a great flavor. I would definitely use this again.  -  05 Jan 2007  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

Quick, easy and really permeates into the meat. My father in law thought it was from a "Ham Company" since it was so flavorful. Nice way to jazz up a ham.  -  06 Oct 2001  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
