Tuna Tomato Salad

    A low fat, easy and delicious tuna salsa. I can't believe how much I like this! The recipe can easily be multiplied. Use in sandwiches or serve on top of lettuce or with corn chips.

    Serves: 2 

    • 170g tuna in water, drained
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 1 medium size tomato, chopped
    • a handful of coriander, finely chopped
    • 1 small jalapeno chilli, seeded and minced
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. In a medium bowl, stir together the tuna, onion, tomatoes, coriander and chilli. Season with salt and pepper. Refrigerate until serving.

    This recipe is cheap to make, tastie as can be and absolutely delicious. I have used it on Cruskit, and savoy, salada, and fresh wholemeal or/rye bread. But as suggested can be used as a dip. I also put a dribble or two of fresh lemon juice. Otherwise kept it original. well done Mary4seeds  -  24 Jun 2013


    I made this to fill sandwiches for a nightshift worker and had one myself. Delicious! Thank you for posting. The only change I made was to put a sprinkle of lemon juice in. I can't seem to go pass having lemon with fish lol.  -  17 Jun 2013
