This is a family favourite - a super easy side dish of rice and risoni pasta simmered together. We serve it with chicken.
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup (100g) uncooked risoni pasta
1/2 cup (90g) long-grain white rice
1 chicken stock cube
2 cups (500ml) water
- In a large heavy saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; add risoni and brown until golden.
- Add rice, stock cube and water; bring to a boil, cover and lower heat to medium-low.
- Simmer for about 20 to 25 minutes or until all water is absorbed; serve.
