Fried Fish with Oyster Sauce

This is a quick and flavourful way to prepare fish. This dish is particularly delicious served with a citrusy salsa.


Serves: 4 

  • 1/3 cup (40g) plain flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 (170g) fillets whitefish
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt and pepper. Lighty coat the fish fillets with the flour mixture.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large frypan over medium-high heat, and cook the fish fillets 3 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Reduce heat to medium-low and brush fillets with oyster sauce. Cover frypan and continue cooking 5 minutes, or until fish is easily flaked with a fork.
