Pecan Chocolate Fudge Biscuits

    25 minutes

These chocolate biscuits are a little different from the usual as they use apple sauce for sweetness and prepackaged chocolate fudge cake mix.

    3 people made this

    Makes: 24 biscuits

    • 1/2 cup apple sauce
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 tablespoon soybean oil
    • 1 (520g) packet chocolate fudge cake mix
    • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
    • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. In a large bowl, mix together the apple sauce, eggs and oil until well blended. Stir in the cake mix. Mix in the chocolate chips and pecans. Drop by spoonfuls or roll into balls and place 5cm apart onto unprepared baking trays.
    3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow biscuits to cool on baking tray for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Very easy and very good! My husband was craving chocolate and these hit the spot! Didn't have soybean oil so I used canola oil and they came out great.  -  17 Jan 2010  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

I don't know what happened to my cookies but they do not look like the photo. Using the chocolate cake mix made them dark chocolate in color. They were cake like "fluffy" cookies. Not at all what was expected.  -  14 Dec 2014  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

These cookies are so delicious, but definitely don't look like the picture. I used the recipe exactly as it appears and my cookies came out darker, fluffy, and delicious! Easy peasy recipe too  -  29 May 2016  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
