    The two best ways to cook asparagus are either to roast it or pan fry it as in this recipe which uses fresh crushed garlic. Delectable as a side dish.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 60g butter
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
    • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed

    Directions
    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Melt butter in a frying pan over medium high heat. Stir in the olive oil, salt and pepper. Cook garlic in butter for a minute, but do not brown. Add asparagus, and cook for 10 minutes, turning asparagus to ensure even cooking.
