Here's a slightly different pasta carbonara recipe that uses olives and both ham and bacon. Quick and delicious!


Serves: 8 

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 500g chopped ham
  • 500g spaghetti, cooked and drained
  • 250g bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 185g black olives, chopped

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Melt butter or margarine in a large frypan.
  2. Add the oil and ham and saute lightly.
  3. Add the cooked spaghetti, bacon, cheese, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Stir well.
  4. Turn off the heat and pour beaten eggs over all. Toss to coat evenly, then add the olives and toss again. Serve at once.
