Cinnamon Chocolate Chip biscuits

    This recipe makes very soft chocolate chip biscuits with a hint of cinnamon. There are a lot of chocolate chip biscuit recipes out there but give this one a try. You'll like it.

    Serves: 36 

    • 125g butter, softened
    • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
    • 1 cup (220g) white sugar
    • 1 cup (150g) brown sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1/4 cup (65ml) milk
    • 1 teaspoon cream
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 1 3/4 cups (220g) plain flour
    • 1 teaspoon bicarb soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 2 1/2 cups (375g) rolled oats
    • 1/2 cup (125ml) milk chocolate chips

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease baking trays.
    2. In a large bowl cream together the butter, peanut butter, white sugar and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time then stir in the milk, cream and vanilla. Combine the flour, bicarb soda, salt and cinnamon, stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, mix in the rolled oats and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared baking trays.
    3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow biscuits to cool on baking tray for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
