    This is one of the simplest nut cakes you will ever make and it's delicious! You don't have to use walnuts, of course - try pecans.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 14 

    • 205g unsalted butter
    • 4 eggs
    • 2 cups (440g) white sugar
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 2 cups (250g) cake flour
    • 1 cup (125g) self-raising flour
    • 4 cups (375g) chopped walnuts

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees C. Grease ring tin with butter.
    2. In a medium bowl mix cake flour, self rising flour, salt and nuts. Set aside.
    3. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until creamy. Add flour mixture and beat until smooth.
    4. Pour into tin. Bake for 1 1/2 hours. Allow to cool before removing from pan.
