    This is a great standby pasta sauce which can be frozen and used as needed. Always terrific for lasagne, and very simple to make.

    Serves: 8 

    • 500g lean beef mince
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 4 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
    • 7 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 1/3 litres tomato juice
    • 700g tomato pasta sauce
    • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 teaspoons salt
    • 1 pinch ground black pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

    1. In a large frypan cook beef mince with the chopped onions, parsley and olive oil. Cook until onions are soft and beef mince is cooked through.
    2. In a large saucepan combine tomato juice, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, ground black pepper and garlic. Add beef mince mixture and simmer for 1 hour.
