Barbecued Garlic Steaks

    We make our steak this way because we love our garlic! When they are barbecued we serve them with baked potatoes and salad.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 1 kg beef fillet steaks
    • 1 bulb garlic, cloves separated, peeled and sliced
    • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

    1. Using a sharp knife, punch holes into steak. Stuff holes with garlic. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
    2. Preheat barbecue for high heat.
    3. Place steaks on the barbecue, garlic side up. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, turn and season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking until done, another 4 to 5 minutes.
