    This recipe is for delicious light deep fried biscuits made with a creamy dough. It's a Czech recipe, originally called 'listy.'

    Serves: 24 

    • 3 egg yolks
    • 1 cup egg whites
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons white sugar
    • 2 teaspoons light cream
    • 1 1/2 cups (185g) plain flour
    • 2 tablespoons icing sugar
    • 1 cup (250ml) vegetable oil for frying

    1. Mix together egg yolks, egg white, salt, sugar and cream. Gradually stir in flour until dough becomes stiff enough to roll out.
    2. Roll out paper thin and cut into triangles.
    3. Put enough oil in a pot to cover a biscuit. Heat oil until a small amount of dough placed in oil begins to fry. Deep fry each biscuit in hot oil until light brown. Remove biscuit from oil and drain excess oil on paper towels. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
