A Buck's fizz differs from a mimosa in the ratio of champagne to orange juice - mimosas have an equal mix.

Ingredients
Serves: 2 

  • 3/4 cup (180ml) champagne, chilled
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) orange juice
  • 1 lemon sliced

Directions
Preparation:2min  ›  Ready in:2min 

  1. Combine the champagne and orange. For different quantities prepare in the ratio of three parts of your favourite champagne to one part of your favourite orange juice.
  2. Serve with slices of lemon.

Altered ingredient amounts. Excellent drink, a must for any special occasion. Many people like poinsettias better than mimosas but it all depends on taste. For a poinsettia, replace the OJ with cranberry juice! Also you should ALWAYS put a half ounce of triple sec into your Mimosas and Poinsettias, you'll see the difference. - 29 Sep 2008

Altered ingredient amounts. I found it to be a little to dry for my taste so I added more orange juice. Guests at my brunch loved it. - 29 Sep 2008

I don't know that there is any way to go wrong with Mimosa. We have them every year for Christmas and they are great. - 29 Sep 2008
