    An amazingly simple chocolate macadamia nut pie with Irish cream. You can use a pre-made pie crust to really speed things up.

    Serves: 8 

    • 5 eggs
    • 1 1/4 cups (270g) white sugar
    • 1/2 tablespoon salt
    • 185g butter
    • 1 cup (250ml) light golden syrup
    • 3/4 cup (185ml) Irish cream liqueur
    • 1 1/3 cups chocolate chips
    • 2 cups macadamia nuts
    • 1 recipe pastry for a 23cm single crust pie

    1. Cream together eggs, salt, sugar and butter. Blend in golden syrup and liqueur. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour filling into pie shell.
    2. Bake in a preheated 150 degrees C oven for 1 1/2 hours, or until browned. Cool.
