    This chocolate chip biscuit recipe originally comes from Hillary Clinton. They are simple to make, chewy and come in large quantities! What's not to like?

    Makes: 84 biscuits

    • 1 1/2 cups (185g) plain flour
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon bicarb soda
    • 250g margarine
    • 1 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup white sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 cups rolled oats
    • 2 cups dark chocolate chips

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Brush baking trays lightly with vegetable oil.
    2. Combine flour, salt and bicarb soda.
    3. Beat together margarine, sugars and vanilla in large bowl with an electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs and beat until light and fluffy.
    4. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in rolled oats then chocolate chips.
    5. Drop batter by rounded teaspoonsfuls onto baking trays. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden. Cool biscuits on trays for 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
