This is a very distinct taste for those who like Marmite! It's very easy to do and my children love it.

    Serves: 4

    • 2 teaspoons Marmite
    • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast fillets

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:35min  ›  Ready in:45min

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. Cut 3 slits lengthwise halfway into each chicken breast. Place 1/2 teaspoon of Marmite into each slit.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.

I love marmite and have been looking for more uses for it. Great taste! - 29 Sep 2008

My concern with this recipe is not the taste. Now, I will admit that I am in the "I Hate Marmite" camp. But I thought that it would work here, and it did! But, the 45 minute cooking time dried the chicken out. I tried the same recipe with bone-in chicken breasts and leg quarters, and it was fantastic! But since the star rating is for the original recipe, it has to be low, as the chicken was too dry. Great flavour concept, but cooking times are wrong. - 29 Sep 2008
